Last night, while having Christmas dinner with Adam and his grandmother, I remembered a story I hadn't thought of in a while. It was 2008, and Adam and I were having Christmas dinner with members of his extended family. I had only just met most of them that night, but I wasn't surprised when someone announced grace would be said, because Adam had led me to expect it. I was surprised, however, when God was also asked to help find me a job.
